It’s Donate Life Month!

by | Apr 18, 2023

Observed in April each year, National Donate Life Month helps raise awareness about organ donation and to honor those that have saved lives through the gift of donation.

With the publishing of Ridiculously Hopeful, we not only share the testimony of our son, Townes, but we also celebrate and long to honor and remember the legacy of our son’s donor and his/her family.

A family whom we will likely never meet, while faced with the most unthinkable decision, selflessly chose to change the course of my family’s future. Our donor family gave us the most precious gift; one we did not deserve, nor can we ever repay.

We long for their child’s legacy to extend far beyond our family to extend exponential hope to others. Would you join our campaign?

Will you become a Hope Donor?

To become a Hope Donor, we ask that you extend the gift of hope and encouragement to others by gifting a copy or two of Ridiculously Hopeful.  You can even send a copy direct from Amazon with a note.

Together let’s make an eternal impact and donate hope to others.

More than 100,000 people are waiting for a lifesaving transplant. Transplants rely on the generosity of organ, eye and tissue donors, and there are not enough donors to meet the need. You can help.      https://www.donatelife.net

This year we have been blessed with so much normalcy with Townes that there has been so little to report. Once we conquered his skin issues in February and received a fabulous report post biopsy in March, it’s been smooth sailing. We have not been sad to say goodbye...

He has Risen!

He has Risen!

March has been filled with an anticipation of the changing season but also the heaviness of circumstance. Townes has grown increasingly more curious about when he was born, mainly due to the fun parties all the kids have at school on their birthdays (which we had a...

New Years

New Years

Tonight, I was just mulling about. New Year’s Eve with very young children looks different than it used too (maybe). Who am I kidding – since College Football moved to the Playoff Era I have spent most New Year’s Eves for a decade watching football all day and...

David & Goliath

David & Goliath

In some ways the beginning of 2023 seems so far away but yet when I realize its #GivingTuesday AGAIN, I am a little stunned. How? It came so fast! And here I find myself yet again, contemplating time. Time is slow. Time is fast. Time sifts me sometimes like a bag of...
